Alexander Gil

Alexander Gil is a multi-award-winning Swiss guitarist with a track record of success in international competitions. He has won several first prizes at the Swiss Youth Music Competition as well as first prize at the Tirana International Guitar Festival (2015), and was a finalist at the prestigious Uppsala Guitar Competition in 2024. After studying at the Zurich University of the Arts and the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf, he has performed internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. He is particularly acclaimed for his fusion of classical guitar and flamenco, as well as for his expressive interpretations.
